Gregory Hancock Dance Theater (GHDT) presented a series of dazzling performances on the occasion of Diwali Celebrations hosted by Gujarati Samaj at Embassy Suites by Hilton Plainfield Indianapolis on Saturday night. Besides the professional display by colorful attired GHDT performers, the children of Indian community, settled here, also left their impact on the attendees.
Indian Gujarati American kids, wearing shirt with the Indian map, pedaled ‘two-wheelers’ (cycles), a little girl was seen performing solo dance on the floor, during the break, ribbon performance by kids was another attractions for those who attended the function.
Floor dance by men, women, girls, boys was virtually an involvement by all. A drum (dhol) performer also enlivened the proceedings.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sun Development and Management Corporation Bharat Patel, Ascent Hospitality CEO Yagnesh Patel, Sun Development and Management Corporation Corporate President and COO Nayna Patel, Indiana India Business Council founder Raju Chintlala, Dr Ajay Ponugoti, Dr Sumeeta Bhatia, Dr Sumeet Bhatia, Gregory Glade Hancock, Chandrashekhar Krishnaneni, Dolly Trehan and Amrat Patel were among the prominent persons who attended the function.
Bharat Patel and Yagnesh Patel described Gregory Glade Hancock an ‘amazing’ performer. Impressed with the performance of the artistes of Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, Yagnesh Patel urged the Indian communities to extend Gregory Glade Hancock full support. “I think we cannot represent our own culture as well these artistes and Gregory Glade Hancock do. His lot of performances are influenced by Indian culture. Gregory understand humanity. Thanks you Gregory,” commented Yagnesh Patel.
