AMAVAS, an upcoming horror action thriller film which promises it’s an audience to witness nerve-chilling experience with splashes of fear. The film is slated to release on 1st February. Therefore, the cast of the film was witnessed in New Delhi for the promotions. Leading actor Sachiin Joshi, sensational Ali Asgar, actress Navneet Kaur Dhillon and director Bhushan Patel were present in a press conference held at Hotel Le Meridien.
The entire team revealed their experiences and a few other details about the film. AMAVAS also stars actress Nargis Fakhri, Mona Singh, Vivian Bhatena in a prominent role. Talking about the film actor Sachiin Joshi stated, “When we work for a horror film it’s pretty exciting, but it becomes more exciting when the location where you are shooting is itself haunted. Only me, Bhushan Ji and our creative head knew about this haunted place where we were shooting, so the entire schedule was super fun especially for us, and I would say the way Bhushan Ji designs the entire scenario of a shot, that scares a person a lot, so it was gratefully chilling experience for me.”
Whereas Television sensational comedian Ali Asgar added, “With due respect, I wanted to do something different from the work which I was doing since long, and at right time I got this film AMAVAS. Everything got settled by its own, all the dates scheduled, basically, in short, I would say that I am extremely excited about this film.” Talking about the horror films in Bollywood director Bhushan Patel said, “generally horror films don’t have stories, and this is the difference between this film and other films because has the story, it carries a story which I am sure and I hope people will appreciate when they will watch the film.”

The upcoming bilingual biographical film “Thackeray” is all set for the release this 25th January, therefore, the cast Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Amrita Rao came together in Delhi to promote their film. Along with them the story writer Sanjay Raut and his daughter producer Purvashi Sanjay Raut were present in the press conference held at Odeon Carnival Cinemas, Connaught Place.
Directed by Abhijit Panse, made simultaneously in Marathi and Hindi. The intense film follows the life of Bal Thackeray, the founder of the Indian political party Shiv Sena, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the Thackery and Amrita Rao as his wife. While interacting with media Nawaz stated about his preparation and experience for working in this film, he said, “I feel really happy when I get such type of roles, thank God the bit of my 25 years of hard work will get execution. I really prefer doing challenging roles, I always try to work out of my comfort zone, and therefore, this role means a lot to me.” Further he added, “When you do such roles, you have to give faith and trust the ideology of that character, then only it will we portrayed in a true manner. So it was really challenging for me to put myself as Balasaheb on the big screen.”
On the other hand leading actor Amrita Rao stated, “This was really a different zone of role for me, being a girl potraying the role of a woman and a mother was really a great experience for me. I learned a lot, I can say wow, I had so much of fun working for this film. In my research I got to know some special aspects of Balasahe, he was a family man also, I discussed this with our director and we tried to incorporate the fact y the character of Meena Tai.”

Thackeray, based on the life of the Shiv Sena Supremo – Balasaheb Thackeray, saw its newly released trailer trending on YouTube, with over 10 million hits. Firebrand Journalist-MP and man behind the film, Sanjay Raut, divulged that the casting for the role of Balasaheb took barely two minutes!
“Once while I was traveling, I watched Freaky Ali, where Nawazuddin Siddiqui played a golfer. I had already seen it before but I started watching it again, only to realize that Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s face can be made to look like Balasaheb,” said Sanjay Raut, who is also the writer of the film.
Sanjay Raut averred that before casting Nawazuddin Siddiqui, he wanted to see his style and gestures. In a matter of moments, Sanjay Raut was convinced. “I called him at a hotel and I observed his style and gait. And within minutes, I told him that I am making the ‘Thackeray’ biopic and he is playing Balasaheb Thackeray,” continued Sanjay Raut.
Thackeray is slated for a worldwide release on January 25, 2019, Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the Shiv Sena Supremo alongside Amrita Rao who will portray Meenatai Thackeray. Thackeray is directed by Abhijit Panse, presented by Sanjay Raut, produced by Raut’ers Entertainment LLP, Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Carnival Motion Pictures.
