Since today is 2-22-22, it is the first palindrome of the year. The word palindrome refers to a sequence of numbers, words, or phrases that read the same backward as they do forwards.
History of palindromes
Henry Peacham is credited with introducing the word ‘palindrome’ in 1638. Intriguingly, the first known palindrome was written in Latin, dating from Roman times; it reads: “Sator arepo tenet opera rotas”, which loosely translates to, “The sower Arepo holds the wheels with effort.”
Even though English writers cited Latin and Greek palindromes in their literary work, poet John Taylor is believed to have coined one in 1614 that read: “Lewd did I live, & evil I did dwel”. This sentence is considered to be the first English-language palindrome. In English, there are many word pairs which are understood to be palindromes. Examples include,

Several art exhibitions in Delhi were postponed due to rising cases of COVID.
Several artists booked the venue at Delhi’s Bikaner House for an exhibition more than a year ago. As a result of the rising number of COVID cases in the Capital, the tripartite exhibition of Sakti Burman, Maite Delteil, and Maya Burman has been postponed from January 13 to 22.
The show had been planned months in advance in hopes that things would have gotten back to normal by now, but who would have thought it would be this way. Despite being ready to mount the exhibition, the space has been closed due to the increasing number of cases. As soon as we receive new directives from government sources, the exhibition will be rescheduled.
As COVID cases in the Capital spiral out of control, several major art exhibitions are being postponed, although private galleries are still allowed to operate. Renu Modi, director of Gallery Espace, says people have reservations about visiting galleries at a time like this. In the first week of December, the opening of her last exhibition in the gallery was well received, but given the current situation in Delhi, she has decided to postpone the opening of her next exhibition, which is the solo exhibition of artist Manisha Gera Baswani. ‘It won’t be fair to the work.’ People won’t flock to the gallery. “I think we’ll open it in April,” Modi says.
There were several exhibitions of prominent artists in Delhi during the fourth quarter of 2021, but with India experiencing the third wave of economic growth, the art industry remains cautious. A key element of India’s culture calendar, the India Art Fair (IAF), was moved from February to April (April 28 to May 1). IAF’s director, Jaya Asokan, said, “Everything else remains the same: the venue, fantastic art, and a huge celebration of culture in a safe environment.”. I’m sure the future will be unpredictable, but I’m confident that India Art Fair will deliver a fair as dynamic and fresh as ever this April.”.

Now talking about the book, this book portrays a very unique and intriguing plot that is capable enough to put a question mark on the judicial system of our Country. Not only this, it also displays what happens when women takes justice in their own hand.
First thing first, the storyline is truly enthralling, thought provoking and heart stirring. The narration was blindingly well polished. The reader can actually feel the scene played with the characters around them. The characterization was well developed.
The title of this book is absolutely apt to the storyline. The cover of the book looks beautiful. The language was easily understandable.
I would like to appreciate the author for picking up this topic and crafting the plot brilliantly with lots of twists and turns which will definitely keep the readers glued to the book.
What I find unique about this book is that this book not only inscribes a gruesome crime but it also shows the true picture of our judiciary system where the rapist can easily get acquitted using his power while the victim either remains silent or gets tired of running around on the court trial for justice.
If ever I get a chance to recommend any crime thriller that can be adapted as a movie/web series then, I will definitely recommend “The rape trial”.

The uniqueness about this book is that it is read as written by a French lady, with the creation of a character named Louise. As the title of the book suggests, it is a little walk of the lost World, that once was a promising era.
Louise is a French lady, born in Nice. A working woman, struggling with her personal life and professional career. She is bearing the pain of being away from her family and her beloved daughter had hit her soul, yet she was ambitious with her attempts in making a documentary film to be featured at Cannes Film festival, which did make her take several hard decisions in her life.
Through the eyes of Louise, one is taken through the enthralling journey into the past, the royality, the palaces, and their festivities, which had left her spell bound. It was of course different from her experiences about the people back at Nice. She felt connected with the people here, at the same time felt isolated, thinking about her own past.
Louise comes across some amazing and unheard secret stories about the rulers and Diwan in parallel. She finds the world of Diwan and his family fascinating, and she is drawn to understand their life style.
The book is in two sections – Louise’s emotional experiences during her stay in the fort, while the later section is the expansion of the stories related to the Diwan’s family, and the hidden aspect being , that she is assisted by the present Maharani, but her name does not appear anywhere.
Overall, it is a small book, yet wonderful, collection of stories, rich memories , though nostalgic.
The book has captivated some great insight on Indian heritage from a forigen eye.
